he idea of importing Polish ornaments came to us after I took my fiancé back to Poland to meet my family. While visiting Krakow, I took him to the Main Square which features little shops that are literally centuries old. We browsed through a few Christmas ornament shops, and Luis was amazed by the beauty and intricacy of these glass ornaments. Having grown up surrounded by these beautiful pieces of art, I thought he was exaggerating just a touch. I guess as a child our Christmas tree was always decorated with these wonderful ornaments, and I had never realized how unique and beautiful they really were. Luis would not leave until he had purchased several boxes of ornaments. When we returned to the United States, our friends and family loved the ornaments as much as we did and wanted to have them also. Ever since then we got more and more requests to bring back Christmas decorations whenever we traveled to Poland.

ventually, Luis, now my husband, suggested that we try importing the Christmas ornaments from Poland, and distributing them in the United States. We researched the idea, talked to many manufacturers, even involved my sister who still lives in Poland, and eventually Arreola Designs was born. We showed our ornaments to several stores and boutiques in our area and they were extremely well received, especially when I showed them our price list.

ecause I speak Polish and understand the customs, I am able to communicate directly with the manufacturers in a way that only somebody that was born and raised in Poland can. I get their best prices and pass the savings on to my clients.

he rest is history! We now work with five vendors, each one having their own unique capabilities and price range. I visit Poland at least twice a year to work directly with the manufacturers on my own designs.

get the inspiration for these creations from my surroundings as well as my imagination. I grew up with art and history around me and they are both a great passion of mine. I thrive on the design process and get tremendous satisfaction from holding the finished ornament in my hand. We hope that you will find our selection as exciting as we do.
